Review Text
On a compulsory English blog streak and want to utilize my motivation right now to continue to the Cross Program before this 80% motivation level turns to 10%.
Again, my personal memory of a goldfish, I cant seem to fit this subject to a specific timeline but I think this was pretty recent. This time, we did NOT start off with an assignment, crazy right? instead, we talked about the perfect depiction of recent pop culture industry, Spiderman: No Way Home. This movie caused absolute madness in movie theatres; people lining up for hours, pre-ordering the tickets, booked theaters all day long, not to count the amazing audience reaction in the movie theatre. I so very remember this because this movie was the first movie I watched in XX1 after being locked up in the Parung Jail for almost 3 months :D
Here's a little note I made in class about the structure of Review Text
introduction = overview and if u like it or not
- summary of the product = what the product is like
- evaluation
- conclusion / recommendation
I think the name of the text is pretty self explanatory, it is essentially a text that evaluates / critiques an object (could be forms of art, movies, music, product, basically anything that could be reviewed)
Okay now to the personal assignment. As predicted, we were told to make one of our own, and I chose makeup. Another example of making something you're extremely familiar with the star of your task (considering I use this product everyday)
I chose my holy grail mascara, the loreal lash paradise!!
I actually bought this second hand from a friend because she received this product at like a subscribed monthly beauty box even though she already owns one. I was at her place when she opened it up and she just offered it to me lower than the original price, which is a major steal.
Fast forward to several months, I'm completely obsessed with the product and will definitely repurchase once this one runs out, you know what I'm just going to show the review text right now and then you guys can see for yourself why I'm so hooked on it.
For Voluminous and Smudge-Free Lashes 24/7
My personal holy grail that I can’t leave the house without, Loreal’s Lash Paradise is the embodiment of
a perfect mascara. Popularized as a dupe for the Better Than Sex’s Too Faced mascara, this one’s better
and less the price for more than twice as much.
The lash paradise features tons of advantages that completes my journey of finding a multipurpose
mascara. First, its 200+ bristles, those many tiny stiff strands attached to the mascara wand is built to
catch every lash for a full fringe effect. Second, its soft wavy brush that doesn’t feel harsh on the eye
and holds maximum formula for volumized and lengthened eyelashes. Third, it’s thick black jet formula
that glides smoothly in one coat. The formula is also infused with floral oil – hence lashes feel
conditioned and supple to the touch. On top of that, its suitable for sensitive eyes as its paraben and
fragrance-free, proved by an ophthalmologist. Lash paradise’s timeless pink packaging is another reason
to love the product; soft baby pink with a hint of gold, you can never go wrong with that.
Overall, its specifications meet the requirements to be incorporated to my daily makeup routine; the
fact that its waterproof alone is a good plus 10 points. The thing doesn’t budge even if I shower &
definitely won’t smudge if I take a wudhu. Although, a waterproof product has its own downside; it can
only be removed with an oil-based cleanser. It honestly isn’t that much of a problem to me since I own a
cleanser like that and doesn’t mind removing It at the end of every day before washing the rest of my
makeup off. This mascara also lengthens and curls my straight short lashes like no other; which is a
massive quality I consider since other products I’ve tried aren’t successful in doing that. In addition to
that, this mascara is cruelty free and vegan, a win among many cruel beauty companies in the industry.
On the other side, due to its thick formula, sometimes it clumps my lashes. As in the formula sticks
heavily to a merged lash that’s supposed to be separated. Other than that, this mascara is an absolute
steal, for just 100.000, you get a high-quality product resulting in impeccable curled lashes.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this to fellow makeup wearers, especially teenagers who don’t
really want to splurge on beauty products. It’s affordable, long lasting, results in perfectly long and
curled lashes, plus the packaging’s a treat to the eyes.
